A Christmas miracle!

In the last 13 months, me and DH have been trying for a baby and have had 3 miscarriages, one at 5 weeks, a missed miscarriage found at 12 weeks & a blighted ovum found at 7 weeks. The last one was just in October. I had sort of given up hope and decided to just wait and see what happens next year, me and DH wrapped a baby blanket and put it under the tree at the start of December (an old wives tale that it'll bring you a baby for the Christmas after). I didn't track ovulation this month so was unsure of my dates properly but I had a rough idea. Well I had a strong positive test this morning, a true Christmas miracle!! We are just praying this baby sticks for us and becomes our miracle 👶🏻❤️

A Christmas miracle!

Sending you all the luck in the world ❤️

I hope next Xmas you have you much wanted baby. Rest a lot especially around 11-13 weeks when miscarriages often occur.

PurpleChrayne · 25/12/2023 23:05

Yay!

I found out I was expecting DD on Christmas Day 2019!

Is your due date late August?

Tawlk · 25/12/2023 23:06

Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and I really hope you have your baby in your arms for next Christmas.

christmasmiracle3 · 25/12/2023 23:14

Thank you so much everyone, so glad I could spread some Christmas cheer! I really hope by next year I can update you with the news of our baby! We really are feeling so grateful and hopeful this time around! Merry Christmas everyone ❤️ I'm in bed with DH snoring next to me feeling ever so lucky that we've gotten another chance!

@DingDongMerrilyWithPie thank you for the suggestions but I'm not much of a drinker anyway, so I'm not missing out on much there! Although I was looking forward to a strawberry daiquiri today 😂

@Tryingmybestadhd I'm so sorry for your loss, it truly is so hard. Our baby we lost at 8 weeks (12 weeks scan) the due date actually tomorrow... so the news has lifted us slightly.

@PurpleChrayne according to my app my due date is September 3rd :)

DramaAlpaca · 26/12/2023 02:09

Ahh, congratulations! Hope all goes well.

I conceived one of mine over Christmas (either Xmas Eve or Boxing Day, too tired Xmas Day, haha!) a bouncing baby boy duly arrived in mid-September the following year Grin

Ambi · 26/12/2023 02:17

I truly hope that this is the one 🙏 ❤️.

I tested just before Xmas to see if could have a drink over the festive period, my due in August baby is now 11.
Congratulations 🎊 👏

Hibernatalie · 26/12/2023 10:41

I found out I was pregnant with my darling DS on Christmas Eve - just wanted to test to see if I could drink. He's 5 now and such an absolute delight. As is his big sister who I found out I was pregnant with in December 1st after a lot of trying! Both August babies. This is bringing back such lovely memories. Congratulations again xx

DingDongMerrilyWithPie · 26/12/2023 13:48

It's brilliant news - makes me feel all warm and glowy 🎉

50plusandfabulous · 26/12/2023 14:07

Hi everyone, I was just scrolling through my threads & come across this one. Unfortunately this ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks and 2 days. Our 4th loss. Currently waiting on testing at the hospital. Xx

I'm so sorry for your loss @christmasmiracle3. Hope the wait for tests isn't too long. Wishing you well for the future.

Nousernamesleftatall · 12/03/2024 20:54

Aw so sorry op. That sucks.

Gluggity · 12/03/2024 20:57

So sorry op. My friend also had 4 losses before 12 weeks and was diagnosed with Hughes (anti phospholipid) syndrome which you can take medication for. Have you been tested for this?

christmasmiracle3 · 12/03/2024 21:10

Thank you all! It's been a rough one this time & I ended up with 2 weeks off then back to work and just had another 2 weeks off as I had a breakdown from it all and was put on antidepressants. Back in work tomorrow. @Nousernamesleftatall @ghostbusters

@Gluggity I'm not sure, mine was all before 12 weeks also. The gp did basic bloods which came back normal but anything other than that gets done by gynae and im on a waiting list. Im not in a position to go private otherwise i would have months ago 🙁
