A special Merry Christmas to those working!

Merry Christmas to all those of us who are working!
12.5 hour nursing shift today for me 😀
To the nurses, cooks, porters, carers, pot washers, radiographers……and so many other.
and the unpaid carers.
i hope your day goes smoothly.

I’m on a 10 hour shift today, DS is with his dad till tomorrow so I don’t mind too much. I’m a district nurse so get to be out and about with Christmas songs on the radio!

Merry Christmas to you all! I was a waitress in my younger days so worked Christmas day. I enjoyed it at the time.

I'm only in 7 hours today but so far it's going ok. Hope it stays that way! Seems a good atmosphere in the hospital thus far!

Absolutely. It can be huge sacrifice to pick the festive shifts. Have a great Christmas and enjoy when you get round to celebrating it 🎅

Merry Christmas!! I’m waiting for DS to wake up and open his presents, have only got till midday with him before he heads off to his GPs with his dad and I’m off to work till 9pm. Am a MH nurse on a Dementia ward and this is the first Christmas Day I’ve worked for a few years - am looking forward to it!

Merry Christmas to everyone working today.
I was at work yesterday and it was actually very quiet so we had the radio on and opened some chocolates. It was a nice day.

I’m on a night shift in A&E but not 13.5hrs like usual so a later start tonight.
Had last night off (first one in 4 years!) so it’s nice to enjoy one with my sons :D

I'm not working, but my son was admitted for emergency surgery at 5am this morning. I'm sitting waiting for him to come out of theatre.

I just want to say thank you to all the lovely staff who have been so kind to me as well as those looking after him. Flowers
