Can i cook a turkey

I have a boned and rolled turkey. We are just trying to sort out dinner timings and we are wondering if we could put the turkey into a cold oven and time it to come on while we visit family. I have searched online but cant find anything. I dont want to poison the whole family!!

How long will it be out of the fridge for and what temperature is your kitchen? It's unseasonably warm here so I wouldn't want to leave meat out for longer than an hour really.

Just googled it out of interest and raw meat can be left out for 2 hours.

Loads of recipies say to bring the turkey up to room temp before cooking.

My plan is to probably put it in oven 1 to 1.5 hrs before the oven turns on. It wont be too long. And yes our kitchen is unseasonably warm at the moment.
