Can anyone recommend a supermarket mulled wine?

I find M&S mulled wine too sweet, and Tescos mulled wine isn't spicy enough (tastes more like warm blackcurrant juice than mulled wine). Is there a brand you would recommend? Or can nothing compare to home-made?

I've just quaffed most of a Morrisons "The Best" mulled wine. I heated it with chopped orange.

I just make my own, you can use very cheap red wine, slowly heat it up with little bit of water, cinnamon, cloves, sugar and oranges (all to your taste) but never let it boil. Once it all heats up and infuses just pour and enjoy. You can also spike it up with little bit of spiced rhum or kirsch

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Mulled Wine

It really is easy to make your own Mulled wine and tastes so much better - in my opinion at least.
Here's a simple recipe, but you really can play around with what spices and fruits to add:
Ingredients
1 Bottle of fruity wine
2 Star anise
1 Large cinnamon stick
4 Cloves
1 Clementine
1 Lemon
4 tbsp Caster sugar

Instructions
Using a vegetable peeler, peel 2 strips from the lemon and peel all of the clementine.
Put the red wine, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, lemon and clementine zest and sugar in a large pan. Cook on a low heat for 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and cool. Leave to infuse for about 30 minutes.
To serve, heat without boiling, and pour into mugs or heatproof glasses.

You can also add a dash of brandy to add flavor and a bit of a kick!
