What have you done today?

Pretty normal day today for me as such, put a wash on this morning and showered before anyone woke up. Dp and dc didn't wake up until 10.30ish god knows why. Didn't emerge from the bedroom until 12.

2pm dp went out to supermarket to buy headphones.... I'm so baffled by this but I've been meal prepping, so one meat is cooked, sprouts and pancetta are done (they always taste better when warmed through the next day) and dessert in in the fridge.

Still have to wrap all presents for kids as dp says it's best to do it on Xmas eve.... but because dc woke up late who knows what time they're even going to go to sleep

Got up at 6am, went to work, home around 5.30pm. A very busy, tiring day, so took makeup off, had a shower and sorted xmas prezzies. DH cooked tea which we had with some red wine. Just finished playing a game with DD and her friend. Now crashing in front of tv.

Made red cabbage & apple this morning, went to the local pub for lunch, watched 2x Xmas movies with DH and DCs, just waiting for them to fall asleep so can wrap the stocking fillers. It's been a lovely low key day

Been to work. I have tomorrow off and am back on Boxing Day. By NYE I'll have worked 12 out of the previous 14 days. I own and run a restaurant.
I'm knackered but that's ok as I don't even like Xmas!

Up early to walk the dog. Breakfast then pantomime. Out for late lunch, walk along the seafront before the drive home. Prepped veg then Home Alone movie with kids. All went to bed early as tired. Just prepped turkey, watch tv then pressies to put out.

Up earli, lolled around, pock up floral tributes, went to cemetery, spoke to a friend, avoided another, went for a walk then phone scrolling🙄

Made 2 recipes of cranberry sauce.. 2 of braised cabbage. Mince pies. Jam tarts.. Homemade stuffing.. Then ds presented me with his Royal Mail Christmas card that had the recipe for the gingerbread Santa requested. Stood at 8pm making gingerbread carrots as hadn't purchased the suggested cutter from Hallmark.
Haven't even prepared all the veg or finished wrapping yet.

Full house clean including mopping and bedding change. Many many loads of washing

8km walk as still have 30km to go to meet end of year target

Cooked gammon and prepped cauli cheese ,spuds and parsnips

Had a looooooong bath and somehow drunk a bottle of bubbly while watching season 2 of welcome to Wrexham with Dh and young adult dc

Hoovered and done laundry.
Prepared turkey and veg for tomorrow.
Played with new puppy.
Drank Baileys.

Went swimming, sauna and steam room with DH
Spent an hour cleaning and tidying downstairs with DH so all sorted for tomorrow
Had egg sandwich then champagne truffles for lunch then dinner was broccoli and potato bake with some lemon curd biscuits and champagne truffles
DH is now at midnight mass
DS has eaten an impressive 5 Chelsea buns, 1 hot chocolate, 1 pack of gingerbread men as well as 2 meals and also had 10 chocolate brownies yesterday evening and still manages to be stick thin.

Also gave the cat his Christmas cracker, loved the giant mouse.

Went for a walk

Final bits of Christmas prep including assembling some presents.
Christmas Eve boxes
Chilled in front of the television with the children.
Eaten lots of goodies.
