Honestly it’s been a massive year for me and next year will also have its health challenges. I rent. The builder has been doing the new floor for weeks and weeks he’s done one in the bathroom and bedroom one of them are finished. My living room is like a building site. He’s in his 70’s and yes it’s fantastic that he’s still doing the job but I swear he never stays longer than midday. The edging needs doing. I’m tripping up
every time I walk into a room because it’s sticking up, his dangerous tools are all over my little room, I know I should be glad to be here but I love my tree ornaments there’s no where to put it and it will just add to the mess☹️

I haven’t had a tree or decorated in over 10 years. It’s a relief. My adult dd lives with me and if she wants one up she’ll have to do it herself which she has done a few times, I can’t be bothered.

Visited a friend who has put up a few decs and a wreath but no tree - she will spend Christmas with her stepson's family and doesn't have visitors so doesn't bother. I personally will always have a tree - even if I was the only one looking at it!

We don't always bother with a tree. Haven't this year as I've recently treated myself to a new armchair and it sits in the 'gap' where the tree would go. We didn't fancy having a huge furniture move around or lugging large items upstairs so have just given it a miss entirely. I've put a garland on the fireplace, have a few extra candles dotted around, and that's it. I'm perfectly happy and content with it.

Could you perhaps get the baubles out and have a look at them of an evening, enjoy the memories and pop safely back if you'd like to see them.

We don't have a tree as we don't have a car and live at the top of a hill in a 3rd floor flat - I just CBA to drag it up and back down again.

We do decorate and fill the flat with real holly and ivy from the local wood.
