Yay

RainbowZebraWarrior · 24/12/2023 12:42

Hurrah!

DD is poorly in bed, but I'm hoping she will be up and about soon, so we can track him.

festivetinseling · 24/12/2023 12:44

He's gone quite a way already, should be around Beijing soon.

Thank you. DS and I were just reminiscing about NORAD - we did it once and they wouldn't go to bed lol.
He will be thrilled (he's all grown up!)

Thanks so much for this. I'm stranded on the sofa ill feeling guilty we're not doing anything and I just showed my eldest this, he positively lit up and is so, so excited. Not sure how many Christmases of believing he has left too.

Chersfrozenface · 24/12/2023 15:30

Ah, slight problem. Flight Radar has Santa over India currently, while NORAD has him between Australia anc Christmas Island.

SandyWaves · 24/12/2023 16:22

Can't wait to have him visit! Thank you for this, my kids and I have just tracked his sleigh!

I learned this several years ago. Pick a tracker and stick with it. I think some have delayed signal to keep Father Christmas safe.

cakeorwine · 24/12/2023 16:30

I thought this was about a flight that was struggling to land in these high winds!!!

That's the usual flight radar thread

cakeorwine · 24/12/2023 16:32

He'd better watch out for the 2 planes near him

It's Oak, they're at a much lower altitude

It's something like quantum mechanics uncertainty principle - you can't accurately determine the position of a fast moving object in a high magical field. (Obviously I'm an expert on this)

Weefreetiffany · 24/12/2023 17:34

Thanks for this, my 5 year old is thrilled!

Chersfrozenface · 24/12/2023 17:34

I have to say that I love the story about how NORAD started following the big man on Christmas Eve.

countrygirl99 · 24/12/2023 17:43

Sent this to a friend with a 4yo. She's messaged to say now she needs to scrape him off the ceiling😆
