Bleeding during sex

Tried to post this in sex topic but it won’t let me for some reason!
So basically DH and I havnt had sex for months - however we’re getting back into it and last week had sex for the first time in over 6 months. Afterwards when I went to toilet there was a tiny speck of pale blood on the tissue (but I also felt a bit sore too).
last night - same thing but I did some “investigation” and it’s definitely coming from “the opening” rather than inside. It’s a bit sore there too again. It’s basically where I was stitched up after birth 24 years ago!!

im 43. Was not “dry” beforehand. Sex was also a bit uncomfortable around that area. He hasn’t grown as far as I know 😂 so why is this happening now?!

No one will really be able to tell you what caused it so the most important thing is that you go and get checked out. Are you up to date on smear tests? Try not to worry, there are things it could be other than the thing you would worry about the most. I've had bleeding a couple of times in the past and it was down to a polyp that didn't need treatment. Always worth getting checked out even just to put your mind at rest.

If you’re sure it’s from the labia rather than the cervix then you could put some sudocrem or the like on it. Sounds like a small tear from enthusiastic sex. Can often happen from positions from behind due to the angle…the skin of the perineum can also thin and change during perimenopause and beyond so could be linked to that.
Edited to add that I don’t think it requires any medical advice at this stage if you’re confident it’s fresh blood from external area.
