How long to defrost a lasagne?

I made a large lasagna last week for eating tonight and froze it. I hardly ever have to defrost things and have no idea how long it will take. Any ideas? I don't really want to cook it from frozen.

Can you defrost in the microwave?

Take it out and leave it on the worktop. It may or may not defrost on time. A single portion takes ages to defrost in my kitchen

You can cook it from frozen, just make sure it's piping hot in the middle.

It depends on how big and how deep! If it was one of my big lasagne (will feed 8 with BIG portions) there would be no chance of it defrosting in time and I would have to cook it while still part-frozen. If that was the case I would cook it at a fairly low temperature for a long time, with it covered, and then whack the temperature up and uncover it for the last 20 minutes or so. I would also check that it was properly not in the middle before serving.

Yeah I'm happy to cook it from part frozen.
