Name changed for this as I have an ex who still likes to look out for me on here.
There are occasionally threads on here asking for updates on certain posters and I thought I would start one for anybody that would like to update on where they are now or to ask about people you’d like to hear an update from.
I used to post as OddSocksHighHeels many years ago now if anybody from back then is still around. I was going through a really shit time and I got a lot of incredible support from posters on here. If any of you are still here then I have so so much gratitude to you as it meant the world to me. For those who remember me, I’m doing great these days. I reconnected with my siblings and became very close to them. I went back to uni and now have a degree and a postgrad cert that means I’m now qualified as a specific type of therapist. I have a great home that is very secure. My ex is still awful, and I came to terms with him being more abusive than I was initially willing to accept to myself, and he has tried very hard to alienate my daughter from me which I’m still working on trying to reverse the damage of but I’m getting there with that through the courts and therapy.
