Just curious. As it doesn’t seem to be a commonly held belief but I find there is definitely a direct link.

Yes. I can’t eat oranges without getting spots along my lips but am fine with orange juice

Yes! I had terrible acne as a teenager, it was only when I did an elimination diet for something else that I discovered too much citrus gives me spots! Even now as an adult I can't drink orange juice or eat satsumas without getting a spot! Such a shame as I love satsumas!!

Omg me! I’ve never known anyone else have this reaction. I usually end up on oxytetracyclin from my GP as it won’t clear up by itself.
I can have lemon, lime, grapefruit though with no reaction.
Curious.

Yep, my mum and I are both the same. Oranges and orange juice cause massive spots. I have a feeling mum is better with them now though (shes in her 60s)

I am also more likely to get prickly heat on holiday. Shame but now avoid oranges in countries where they are delicious!

Yes my kids now seem to react the same. I am sure it’s fairly common but just lot of people don’t realise. A lot of websites actually recommend oranges as being good for your skin cos of all the vitamins. I had bad acne as a teenager for years until I found this link
