I love this film. Don't know how many times I've seen it, never tire of it. Everything about is is perfect. The scene with the Marseillaise is guaranteed to set me off, even though I know it's coming.

I was reading recently that that scene used actors who had lived under German occupation in France so the tears were real.

Great film and I have a soft spot for Paul Heinreid even if I was rooting for Bogart and Bergman!

Yes, I think I read that too. Claude Rains is just fabulous. 'I am shocked, shocked I tell you, to find out that gambling has been happening in this establishment.' [Croupier hands him his winnings] Grin

Great scene. The fact that it was filmed in 1942 so no one knew the outcome.
Many of the actors had fled, famously Madeleine Lebeau whose own escape journey fascinating

You are not alone, the Marseilleise scene has both me and my husband crying every single time.... Although I've already started by that point, as Rick helping the young couple at the roulette table always makese blub.

Wonderful film.

I watched it too, bloody fabulous the whole thing.

Favourite ever of all time. So heartfelt.

The only competition is It’s A Wonderful Life which we’re going to the cinema to see tomorrow. And has me crying from Mr Gower on.

Glad I'm not alone! It's a Wonderful Life does that to me too. Also, for some reason, The Sound of Music, from the opening scene on.
