Falling through….

I splashed out and bought myself a new Tefal dual airfryer - but my fries are falling through the bottom grill bit and turning into a soggy mess/ getting ruined. I’m losing half my fries. My old air fryer was cross hatched so no problem. I refuse to eat any thicker fries that not McCains Crispy French Fries. I simply won’t. What can I do?! I feel deflated at my pre Christmas treat to myself….

Do you need an insert thing like this:

Put some baking parchment or tin foil in?

But doesn’t something like this stop the air flow which is essentially how air fryers work so well?

I second baking paper

Get a liner or reusable liners. Even a bit of baking paper will work in a pinch. I don't think it makes any difference at all to the finished product if you make sure you stop at a point in the cycle and shake/turn whatever it is.
