Love that Wham! 'Last Christmas' finally got to the top spot.
Takes me right back to the 80s 😍

Spice Girls 2 Become 1 will probably always be my favourite Christmas number 1.

I remember being sick off school and lying on the sofa listening to this a lot. Weird nostalgia feelings! My favourite is Slade, if it did indeed get to be Christmas no. 1.

@Inkypot It did! Fifty years ago. I think Wizzard was number 2.

Rage against the machine. Because Im a metal head and Christmas songs make me cringe 😬

Frankie's The Power of Love.

When a child is born by Johnny Mathis, who I thought seemed like a lovely man (I was 5 when it was No 1 in 1976)

Flying Pickets - Only You, although I slightly prefer the Yazoo version.

Looking at the list of UK Christmas No 1s, it's amazing how many of them actually had nothing to do with Christmas - way more than half.

I love Moon River by Danny Williams and Reet Petite by Jackie Wilson, but they were only 'accidental' Christmas No 1s, really.

Mull of Kintyre. I loved watching this on Top of the Pops each week, while Dad grumbled "not this again"
