I want to learn a hobby craft..

I spend a bit too much time on tech. If I’m not playing games, I’m browsing the internet so I want to try and learn something new. Which is easier to learn for a brand new beginner?

Crochet
Knitting
Needle felting

or can you suggest something easy?

Didn't know what needle felt was but looked it up inspired by this thread and I might give it a go (having failed at knitting and not got very far with crochet!) Any recommendations of where to begin?

I think Hobbycraft do some kits - I was in during the week and they were on offer

Diamond painting is good and also very therapeutic

I also like freeform embroidery, very minimal outlay to get started.

I was drawn to needle felting and did a class but just didn't enjoy the process at all. So my advice would be try a class before investing in a craft as then You can see if you enjoy it.

I do several different crafts and some I've tried but although I like the finished products I don't enjoy the process.

Punch needle is an easy one to do.

I just bought a kit for needle felting. One of the bonuses was that it involved minimal investment if you turn out not to enjoy it. Unlike say sewing which is just endless quantities of kit.

Interesting - in another approach I loved the process of stained glass, but didn’t like the end result.

I loved my latch hooked rug but I was so bored making it, never again. Although it was easy to do while watching the TV.
