Not feeling festive in the slightest

The tree is up, the food is brought, presents wrapped physically were ready but I don't feel excited nor festive.
My youngest who's 7 is super excited my eldest whos 10 says she's not feeling the christmas spirit. We have today free apart from walking the dog what can we do to feel festive and get us excited.

Do you feel the same ?

Totally, it’s been a really hard year and I feel completely flat - I don’t think being 50 helps.

I’m pretty much sorted with food, presents etc so I’m planning a day out with DP, maybe to a NT place as they’re always really festive and hoping I’ll finally start to feel it. Hope you manage to as well!

Watch a Christmas film together?

Username5678910 · 23/12/2023 06:52

Yes I've done the Christmas parties, got a tree in the end (wasn't going to get one but was in the garden centre and it was reduced),made mince pies, got all the presents but have no Christmas spirit.

Went to the gym at my usual time yesterday and it was much busier than normal as obviously people had finished work early, I just felt all scrooge like.

I feel the same. Finished work yesterday. Am still fighting the end of an illness. Nothing wrapped.
I am going to paint my nails a Xmas colour and go see some Xmas lights tonight.
Can you walk the dog around a different area to see more lights?
I love the idea of a festive movie with some hot chocolate.
Of course I also have to do Xmas house work..... Best way to get in the mood....not!

No, i don’t feel the same. Single parent of 14 and 11 year old and i feel excited. Today… nails done, cookie baking, horror film lined up (only way my son will watch anything with me) and i managed to get my hands on the Think Words game sold out. oh and a long dog walk.

Thisnossue aside, are you prone to feeling quite flat? is your partner supportive and enthusiastic?
