I’d say irritation or mild hives?

Well, it doesn't look like a hickey if that's what you've been accused of! It's got a wee white bump in the middle, not like just a load of bruised capillary! Are you OK?

I can’t tell if that is a bump in the middle or not. So either generic irritation, a hive, or a bug bite.

Thank you. We are away from home and I have massive anxiety around bed bugs. I woke up with this and it itched slighly so I got really worried that it could be a bedbug bite (still am)

I do regularly get single hives that pop up on my neck and along my jaw line though so it could be that but hives tend to disappear fully, whereas this still is a bit bumpy this morning.

I had spent an hour checking all the beds, mattresses and pillows when we arrived and hadn't found anything suspicious but who knows...

I don't think that is a bed bug bite. Aren't they usually lines of bites, generally on the torso or legs.
