Finally a proper Christmas Number One

Sooooo pleased that Wham & Last Christmas finally got the Christmas number 1

So much better than sausage roll nonsense or X Factor winners and thankfully beat the Pogues appaling effort (she says controversially)

Same here!

I adored George Michael and love Last Christmas, it's one of my all time faves. However, it was refreshing to get a new 'proper' Christmas song after years of ladbaby, rubbish generic chart stuff, old Christmas songs and X factor taking precedent over the last 2 decades or so! As much as I'm pleased Wham finally got the well deserved number 1, I am a little bit gutted for Sam! It's been stuck in my head for the last couple of weeks and he's done so well considering it was only supposed to be a song for a film and wasn't available on platforms like spotify etc.
