I just want the ground to swallow me up.. I feel like a right pillock! 🤦🏼‍♀️
So I went for an interview this morning and they said they would ring this afternoon to let me know the outcome.
My phone rings and I answer, they offer me the job. I'm feeling absolutely over the moon as I never thought I had a chance after the interview, and getting this (a) job means absolutely everything to me. As this means we can now look forward to moving house with me on the mortgage and we no longer have to rely on my DHs wage, etc.
I'm saying all my thank yous and he's explaining to me what happens next, etc....
I then end the conversation with.. "love you bye"
LOVE YOUU BYEE!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😩😩😩
Cue immediate hand slap to my forehead "what a dickhead!" "What did you say that for"
I'm hoping that because I was saying the word lovely alot in our conversation, that he did actually mistake my love yous for lovely bye... please im praying!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Remember the episode in Friends where Rachel accidentally kissed her boss in an interview? That was a very funny episode.

One of my colleagues accidentally texted our boss on the weekend instead of her boyfriend. Let’s just say it was a very friendly text. She was totally freaking out and he initially said nothing, but after one joke of winding her up, he then spent the whole day making fun of her. We were all in hysterics at his jokes.

He probably just chuckled and moved on. He probably likes you more for making him smile. Congrats on the job.
