Going out in the garden to gaze at the moon and stars (if its not dull and raining🙄)

Putting my EarPods in and listening to a gruesome podcast!

A few minutes at night after everyone has gone to bed where the TV is turned off and I just sit in silence with the tree lights twinkling.

A good cup of tea whilst listening to the radio and writing in my journal. Same as any other time of year tbh 🎄☕

Sticking the AirPods in and drumming for an hour with a beer.

Headphones and podcasts while pootling on my own around garden/house

Going to my therapist this morning for some mental health maintenance before I deal with my batshit family 🤣

Shoving my face in an Époisses once I've made sure everyone's bellies are full

Cup of tea with my favourite books or a nap

Randomly finding five minutes to read my book. Even if I have to lock myself in the loo for some peace.

I read this as 'pooing' on my own around garden/house'.

Xmas eve when everything is in place, glass of baileys and slow TV watching the Sami on rote across the ice.

Ive put on one of those fireplace things on YouTube with Christmas jazz whilst other half has gone Christmas shopping and I am getting quietly pissed on Tia Maria, straight from the bottle in my PJ's. Cos I'm organised and deserve an afternoon off.

Being fairly organised so it doesn't end up getting on top of me.
A load of leaves have blown into the porch and sweeping those up will be serene

Striking things off the “to do” list, must be on paper, scrunching it up and writing tomorrow’s. It’s like putting the day to bed.
And I love my artificial flame-effect wood burner.

Right now... DD fell asleep in the car on our way home, so I'm sat on the sofa with a coffee and my feet up, while DH sits in the car waiting for her to wake up. Added bonus is that I'm meeting a friend for dinner this evening, so he'll have to deal with bedtime 😁

Although now DH is off work she's abandoned me, the feckless hussy.

I was allowed home from work early today. Contemplated doing something festive but instead I treated myself to an M&S sandwich (buying it wasn’t relaxing!) and have spent the afternoon in bed, sleeping and reading. I’ve had a rubbish year and it’s done me the world of good to just switch off for a few hours. I’m laying here now watching it get dark and feeling calm for the first time in ages.

I get up an hour earlier than everyone else to do this. Bliss

I popped out for breakfast and a coffee, I know the cafe owner as she is a friend so was nice plus rang a friend turned and turned out they were in a shop close by so joined me. Arrived at my friends little shop and as no customers sang to him and he sang back, we have both been in choirs. I had a very nice morning. Have watched White Christmas and had a nap this afternoon, DS is at work and DH is out doing some last minute present buying.

First thing in the morning, I get up at 6.00am and spend the first hour with a cup of tea checking my diary and planning my day.
