Tranexamic Acid over the counter

Can Tranexamic acid no longer be purchased over the counter?
I'm sure a few years back I could buy in boots.

No, but you can get it with next day delivery from a few online pharmacies. They ask a load of questions at checkout and then it's approved by someone at their end, either pharmacist or a GP I can't remember.

It vanished from Boots about 4 years ago, I periodically googled to find out if it could be bought elsewhere and late last year it became available online. No idea what changed or why!
