Which job would you take?

2023 has been a nightmare work wise. Left a job i loved with good organisation and family friendly policies for a pay rise and increase seniority

Job was great - pay great - but culture was awful with sexism and bullying rife - so i left for another job - same pay (great) but ridiculous expectations for travel and overnights which was kit what was explained at interview. Have a young child so could not do this

so

i now have 2 offers and i feel i can't make another mistake!

job 1
interesting work with some new aspects which would add to cv
lovely organisation, family friendly, good values
good vibes at interview
hybrid with a 1 or days in local office/or services
all local so no national travel requirements
pay is around the same as what i was on when leaving much loved job- so big pay cut but is doable
Potential for big promotion as they growing department which is really my expertise - this post is not quite a senior at present but there is scope which they discussed with me at offer when talking about salary

job 2
large national organisation but not as value based as job 1
pay is 10k more than job 1 but less scope for promotion
is a bit boring but low stress and easy role (which appeals after the year i have had)
Homebased but longer travel x2 a week - very occasional overnight which is doable

i have another potential not heard back on which will be more pay, less travel but worse organisation .....

any thoughts - i really just want to stay with an organisation for at least 2 years for some stability and don't want to make another mistake. If job 1 matched job 2 salary it would be a no brainer for me .... or shall i see what potential job 3 outcome is?

If money was no consideration, personally I'd be happier at option 1 in your circumstances.

What was your initial reaction on being offered each job? Did one excite you more than the other?

While your child is still young I’d go for 1
