Very impressed with Iceland online shopping!

I finished work yesterday (wahay!!) And I knew I needed to go out over the next couple of days to pick up some last minute frozen party food bits for Christmas. Was dreading it, I don't do well in crowds, and I wasn't sure if they'd have what I needed.
Out of curiosity, I looked online at Iceland. I've now got a delivery coming tomorrow morning (6am-8am, but I'm an early riser!) With everything sorted. So pleased I don't need to go out 😂

I do my main food shop from Iceland home delivery. It's brilliant. Very rarely out of stock of anything I order. They sell pretty much everything I need (I buy some toiletries from Savers etc - but if I couldn't get there the Iceland selection is fine). I don't have anything bad to say about them at all.

pizzaHeart · 22/12/2023 10:25

We used it a few times and always was very good.

LoudestRoar · 22/12/2023 10:35

This is my first time, so a very good experience!

I did my first shop at Iceland a month ago and it wasn’t a good experience, ended up having to get paypal to refund half the order.

we still have to go to the shop and don’t trust the delivery but hopefully it goes well for you.

DaftyInTheMiddle · 22/12/2023 10:51

Love Iceland. The fruit and veg are surprisingly good quality. Plus frozen Greggs is just 👌😂

margotrose · 22/12/2023 10:53

We used it where we used to live and it was always really good.

Unfortunately we don't have any Iceland nearby anymore!

LoudestRoar · 23/12/2023 06:03

Well, it's just arrived! One substitution, and I can now go back to bed!

They are brilliant. I used them in lockdown and their frozen veg and fish are really good.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 23/12/2023 06:21

I'm always pleasantly surprised when I go to an Iceland. Sadly, they don't deliver here.

RedVanYellowVan · 23/12/2023 07:19

We used them during lockdown when nobody else had delivery slots. They were unfailingly excellent and I still shop with them regularly.

scrivette · 23/12/2023 07:21

I love Iceland, some of their deals are amazing (8 items for £10) and are great to stock up the freezer.

Tereseta · 23/12/2023 07:24

They were the best during lockdown and we use their delivery regularly still. Love the in shop delivery too where your shopping gets packed at the till and delivered for free! Very handy if not going home immediately

CeeJay81 · 23/12/2023 07:46

Glad you got your delivery and it was good. I wish Iceland would expand their delivery area, we live in a very rural part of Wales and they only go about 10 miles from the store. Tesco, Asda and Morrisons all deliver here, yet Iceland won't.

softsummerrain · 23/12/2023 07:56

Another lock down convert here. I could always rely on them and was always impressed.

CheesyChipsOnWembleyWay · 23/12/2023 07:57

I'm not impressed, my order never turned up last night and their customer services close at 8 (when they do delivery up to 11pm)

Danikm151 · 23/12/2023 08:01

Iceland are pricey for fresh stuff but the freezer stuff is good value. I do a iceland stock up of the freezer and it’s never let me down. Asda on the otherhand- last 2 times couldn’t find my address apparently- always late or want to be hours early. Stopped shopping online with them.

Doyouthinktheyknow · 23/12/2023 08:12

Iceland delivery has always been good for us and I do love a bit of beige party food at Christmas 🤶

We order online because all the stores are in awkward places and stock seems to be better online.

newnamethanks · 23/12/2023 08:47

Use them every so often and no problems. One quibble, they rarely put in a substitute but just leave me without. That's irritating but generally they're fine.

Needmorelego · 23/12/2023 09:22

@newnamethanks yes they tend to just refund any out of stocks rather than substitute. The couple of times they have it's always been a sensible one (ie thick cut bread instead of medium). I did get bigger bottles of Pepsi than the ones I ordered recently - but I think that might have just been an error from the picker because they didn't charge me any extra.

daffodilandtulip · 23/12/2023 09:34

Always a quick delivery and rarely any subs or missing. I do think they uplift the grocery prices to make up for the frozen prices, so I tend to do a monthly fill the freezer shop from them and go elsewhere for fresh.

Crunchymum · 23/12/2023 09:52

Did my first shop with them yesterday (did all the heavy stuff - soft drinks, cat food, tinned goods, condiments, butters / spreads and a job lot of toilet roll). They were almost 2 hours late. Booked a 5pm-7pm slot and they arrived at almost 9pm.

On the upside they did have everything I ordered but yeah 2 hours late isn't good. I got a message saying it would be late but not how late

Not sure if I'll use them again.

RingingInMyEars · 23/12/2023 09:56

We were also converted during lockdown and have carried on using them

DaysLikeTheseWeLearnToLiveAgain · 23/12/2023 10:33

@LoudestRoar well, what can I say but you have just given me the best Christmas present I'm going to get. Things are very tough in the Dayslike household at the moment and I needed to get a last minute shop in and was absolutely dreading it.

I saw this and thought hmm 🤔 I wonder. I've only gone and got an Iceland delivery for tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Truly 😘

Exactly this for us too. They were brilliant over lockdown and we've just continued to use them. I've used their same day delivery before, absolutely brilliant
