I bought myself a small jar Yankee candle for the first time and I can’t smell anything, not the tiniest whiff of citrus spice.
is it me or the candle?

I think a lot of them don’t really smell of much after buying a few

I've never understood the Yankee hype, my DIL loves them but unless my nose is in the jar itself I can't smell them. The wax does melt down completely equal though so it depends on why you buy a candle, if it's for the aroma I don't think they work but if it's for a lovely candlelit atmosphere then they are pretty good.

Shame, I had been under the impression that they were so much better than the cheap supermarket ones that really don't smell much at all. That was a waste of money.

I have emailed the company to complain, first world problems and all but I'm not made of money, I was hoping for a Christmassy fragrance!

I think they smell more after a few burns.

They are cheap and awful, Aldi candles are much better.

They changed where they are manufactured a few years ago now and have been rubbish ever since.

I bought a little Yankee candle advent calendar last year half price
I couldn't smell anything from them!
Not worth the money at all!

As in when it burns?

I can't smell a thing currently due to a bout of covid but Yankee Candles are typically quite pungent. IMO to the point they're a bit grim. I do think a small 1 wick candle is always going to be limited in what scent it throws and certainly won't fill a room quickly or easily. Several wicks or a larger wider candle often throw much better in my experience.
