Interview tips

I've been un an acting up role and now have to interview for the position permanently.

I think I'm in with a good shot but looking for some tips if anyone has any? It's been a few years since I've sat on this side of a panel.

It's a competency based interview with a panel of 3.

Goigle star technique
Google "how to pass a "specific job" interview
Research the company
Get examples of situations using the STAR method
Think about what you can bring to the table, what you can offer that nobody else can
Get a print out of tangible results you have achieved while in the role.
Think about your enthusiasm, drive and commitment and bring that to the interview.

Think about all the successes you would want to get across in the interview and mind map them using the STAR technique. Work out which competencies they might fit into and which skills and behaviour they demonstrate so, when a key competency comes up in a question your mind will quickly be able to pull up one of your plans.

To get a more commanding presence try this:

Cross your legs slightly to one side
Push your front leg back slightly so you sit slightly more forward.

This slightly increases the space you occupy, make you sit up straighter and makes you look more in control of the room
