We are travelling to my MILs for Christmas. My FIL died in the summer, so it will be the first Christmas without him.
My husband has two siblings, but they are not very close and generally quite cold and distant with each other. Same with MIL, I get along well with her but we are not close and live abroad so rarely see them either.
Any advice on dealing with this first Christmas? There are no young children so no need to put up a front or anything, just wondering how other families go through this first one, I am dreading it.
