Limping over the line to Christmas

Really feel like I'm limping over the line to Christmas this year. Anyone else?

Kids don't break up till 3pm today and are hanging on.
Ds and dh are low level ill.
Dd(9) isn't sleeping until gone 11pm so then tired and difficult.
My back has blocked so off to the physio and popping cocodimol.
The cat and dog have been back and forth to vets.
Mil has been high needs after her hip replacement, very specific asks!
A colleague royally dropped the ball and went off without doing a big piece of work, I've spotted it so cancelled my leave and now got probably 2000 words to read and a ten page letter to write.
There's no food in the house for now let alone for Christmas meal.
I've not ordered any food so need to do last minute trip to butchers and hope.
The house needs a bloody good clean.

Anyone in the same boat?

Yep, three of us ill here, plus I think I might be starting with high blood pressure. Can’t work out if I feel funny due to that, or if it’s pre Xmas tension causing it.
£400 at the vets yesterday. Too much spent on my kids, and far too much spent on his relatives.
Roll on the 27th!

Yes, 100% with you.
Been fighting a chest infection throughout December. Kids all home from university in various stages of stress about exams, accommodation etc plus with part time Christmas jobs on antisocial hours. Wider family using our house as a staging post on different Christmas journeys so it is like Piccadilly Circus the entire time. No food in yet. Caved and put the decorations up earlier than usual so now I am barely noticing them. Dog bouncing off the walls. Beyond skint. Absolutely not feeling it and dreaming instead of a quiet two week break in which I lie on the sofa watching TV and eating buffet food and absolutely nobody requires me to cook a sit down dinner for 8 people.

Yes I am a broken woman and everyone around me seems much the same.

In your shoes OP I would go to Cook or M and S and buy a pre-prepped C’mas dinner.

I'm a broken woman now too.
But that's work finished, supermarket done, greengrocer done, all the presents wrapped, Lego table built, dog walked, mil hospital appointment done, vet spoken to, kids picked up.
