Starter: Classic Prawn Cocktail straight from the 80's Grin Kids are having Hummus and Crudités.

Main: Turkey, stuffing, Roast potatoes, parsnips, Carrots, cranberry sauce, pigs in blankets and Yorkshire puds (Not traditional but DCs favourite!)

Dessert: Homemade Banoffee Pie with custard, or ice cream. Xmas pud and Mince Pies with cream.

Cheeseboard and Chutneys for after!

Our Meal this year isn't extravagant or particularly traditional but we're having exactly what we want and are very happy not to be going to the iL's!!

Turkey
Roast potatoes
Stuffing
Yorkshire pudding (I think this is wrong but DH insists!)
Pigs in blankets
Cauliflower and broccoli cheese (this is the main for vegetarian MIL who prefers it to nut roast or similar, if she weren't there I'd just do normal broccoli)
Carrots
Peas
Sprouts for those who like them
Bread sauce (best bit!!)
Cranberry sauce
Gravy

Christmas pudding
Custard (I'd prefer brandy butter, but with small kids custard is non-negotiable)
Chocolate log
Viennetta (because TRADITION)

We do the big meal on Boxing Day - partly to accommodate work schedules and partly because the thought of trying to cook all that while also doing present opening brings me out in a cold sweat! Christmas day itself will be steak and chips (salmon and chips for those who don't like steak).
