It’s an ambiguous headline but, just to confirm, the owner was having sex and the dog attacked him. Regrettably, the owner’s injuries were not serious.

An American bully XL

Bully XL to be destroyed after attacking owner while he was having sex

An order was made for the dog to be destroyed, but not for 28 days pending any appeals.

Glad I don't know you in real life.

OrlandointheWilderness · 21/12/2023 23:57

Why on earth would you wish serious injury in someone!? He wasn't doing anything wrong, he was having sex.

Kpo58 · 21/12/2023 23:58

Apparently the man had been arguing with his partner before becoming intimate with her. I wonder if the dog though that it was protecting her?

TitaniasAss · 22/12/2023 00:00

Why on earth would you want someone to be savaged by a dog? I'm no fan of this breed but Christ, what's wrong with you?

That's what I thought too.

Increasinglyfrazzledteacher · 22/12/2023 00:01

The owner is trying to overturn the order to have the dog destroyed and have the dog returned to him. For the sake of the four children who live in the same house as the owner, I hope he fails.

Regrettably? Bit of a weird thing to say

Well no one really knows what happened. An argument doesn't necessarily mean than the woman was under threat. He could have been the one under threat for all we know.

I hope he fails too. I still wouldn't wish him injury.

MonsteraMama · 22/12/2023 00:04

Regrettably? You'd have preferred him to be mauled to death on top of his partner mid-sex and his children be left without a father?

Christ, I hate these ugly fucking brute dogs, but it's a bit much to be put out that the guy wasn't badly hurt.

FestiveFruitloop · 22/12/2023 00:28

'Regrettably, the owner’s injuries were not serious'? What a horrible thing to say. What do you even mean?

Who cares? A dog attacked with 4 children in the house. You want to wait until one has a sibling argument and is mauled to death by another xl bully?

I never understand these posts. My response was to someone saying that the woman may have been under threat; my point being that it could have been the man under threat. It wasn't directly responding to the dog attack, merely the assumption that it could only possibly be a woman under threat.

At no time did I say that I 'wanted to wait wait until one has a sibling argument and is mauled to death by another xl bully?' and am flummoxed where you decided that this is what I thought?

I don't believe these dogs have any place in any home, whether there are children there or not, but please, do carry on making stuff up in your head if you enjoy it.

Boomboom22 · 22/12/2023 11:03

If they succeed in appeal it would be awful and send a message the courts think its OK. Shouldn't even be a right of appeal tbh, it's not safe for kennel staff to have to keep the evil beast alive for 30 days. Not really possible to walk it so what happens? It gets super aggressive worse than now because caged?
