Allergy, sinus infection.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 21/12/2023 17:03

Dry air due to cold weather and central heating.

I have allergic rhinitis. It's a drag!

DancingintheSpoonlight · 21/12/2023 17:09

Have you got a real Christmas tree? I saw something relating to people reacting to their trees with constant sinus irritation.

This ^

I'm the same as soon as the heating goes on.

The cold weather actually clears my head but as soon as I walk into a cozy warm house I get stuffed up.

I'm not alone then! Has been the case for me now for about 3 weeks. I wake up ever morning with a blocked nose. Clears up during the day and back again overnight, it's driving me mad!

Oldermum84 · 21/01/2024 09:24

Rhinitis.

galaxybeyond · 21/01/2024 12:34

Wouldn't still be bunged up in that case 😣

hoarahloux · 21/01/2024 12:58

Are you using the spray every day? The Otrivine or other spray with xylometazoline?

Those sprays tend to say "don't use more than 3 days in a row", or 5 days. They're not joking about that. If you use them constantly your nose gets used to them and overcompensates, stuffing you up again. So you keep using the spray. It becomes a cycle.

Quit the spray for a while, it'll be a rough couple of days but should resolve itself.

Ive ordered a neti pot type thing. Read a few and picked a well reviewed one.

Do you keep your room cool?
