Textured kitchen worktop - think I've made a mistake!

We're doing a quick kitchen makeover. I have gone for a textured laminate worktop. It looks lovely with the rest of the kitchen but now I've had a panic that I won't be able to roll out pastry / pizza dough / biscuit dough on it like I used to on my old one.
We were in a rush to choose and really didnt take this into consideration when choosing. I'm so annoyed at myself.

Has anyone got a textured one and is it a nightmare to roll stuff out on?

Just get a nice marble chopping board which you can use to roll out on. Im sure it will look lovely

Could you not just use a rolling mat? That should be thick enough to combat the texture?

@spanieleyes are they big enough though? Id need a massive one. Sometimes my dough rolling is massive esp if I'm baking a pie....

Get a glass chopping board or work top saver, they come in various sizes (60 x 40 and bigger) and you won't notice it on the work top.
