Real life family squid games, ideas welcome!

Might be ambitious but might have about 20 here for NYE and thought we could try a squid games type thing. Death would be by nerf gun!
There will be young and adults so needs to be accessible to all.
Will end with rock paper scissors but need a few games along the way to eliminate a whole team and one of a pair or the odd person.
Could do the circle of trust, have a dice and some cards, musical statues etc. Any ideas welcome. Minimum effort the better.
Winner gets £4.56 and I'll give everyone a number when they arrive.

Have you watched the Challenge one? They do Battleships which would be good depending on how many people you have.

Can you do the biscuit one where people have to carve out shapes using a needle?

I didn't explain my self very well! So not necessary stuff from the challenge show but other ideas of games I could do that would have the same effect. Using dice, cards, quizzes, anything I might have around the house.
Marbles is on the list!

The marbles one is good.
Give people in pairs a bag of marbles. Maybe some objects lying around.
Get them to think up a game.

Dalgona is easy. You can buy cutters with the shapes to make them, or you might be able to find some ready made locally. I bought some ready made for my family and it was quite fun.

You could use cards. Get cards in pairs - maybe 12 rows. Could be odd / even, black, white.

They have to have a 50% chance each time. You could use counters.

Basically the glass floor game.

LegoDeathTrap · 20/12/2023 21:09

A bit dark, I’d say? I watched the show - it’s harrowing - and would not want to shoot a child with a nerf gun pretending to be on the show!!!

chickenpieandchips · 20/12/2023 21:21

I've watched the challenge game. Not the series. The challenge game wasn't dark. More an interesting study in human psychology! Trust me the kids will think being removed from the game by a nerf gun funny.
Anyway I was thinking a card game replacement for the glass bridge game could work.

How did it go in the end? I'm thinking this could be good for a New Year's Eve family party.

Rainbowshit · 27/12/2023 18:40

I saw somewhere online someone doing the glass bridge with boxes. They had to choose which of two boxes to jump onto and one of the two was made of paper. Looked fun.

MooQuackNeigh · 27/12/2023 18:55

Building a bridge with marshmallows and spaghetti, fastest/longest/highest in 5 minutes wins.

Various paper riddles to be solved. Google to find, there are loads. Join pairs of numbers without crossing lines, maze puzzles. Lots you can just print out.
