What shall I get him for Christmas?

Just discovered adult DSS is joining us for Christmas - rather late notice but so be it he's DPs son and I'm rather fond of him anyway.

But what on earth do I get him. Normally I leave it to DP and I think he ends up with nothing or a bit of cash because DP is appalling at presents I usually get him something for when he comes after Christmas but more by way of joke presents.

But he's going to be here and I can't give him nothing I just can't. I give everyone in the house presents at Christmas I don't want him sitting there while everyone else opens theirs.

His likes going to the gym, going to the pub, dungeons and dragons, politics and not much else as far as I can tell.

He's unemployed, single and in his early 30s. His sight is quite poor so I can't get him books, he's got a kindle, I don't really want to get him just a bottle of wine or chocolates, toiletries seem boring and he seems to have the kit to cover such hobbies as he has...

Stuck

Dice and dice bag?

Faffette · 20/12/2023 16:31

A very nice set of D&D dice

D&D dice or you could find out what stuff he wears at the gym and get him some new workout gear

How about getting down to Home Bargains or B&M or similar - they have things like large buckets of popcorn which you could wrap with a cinema voucher or similar, I also saw a ‘stick’ of Pringles which was about 3 feet long and made up of lots of smaller tubes, same with Oreo’s and party rings. Bulky snacks basically?

Blimey just looked up D&D dice - I knew he liked it as a game but personally knew very little about it including that it had weird dice.

They're a bit specialised aren't they!! A set of those may be the way to go.

Cinema ticket may go down well too I know he goes from time to time.

Just can't seem to think today. Got an awful cold with sinus headache and fever and need people to do my thinking for me Xmas Sad

Have a look at geeky clean they do DnD dice inside bath bombs and soaps. He might enjoy a dice soap it's a cute novelty thing that shows you put some thought into it

I would get him a nice jumper. Judging from other people's responses that would be wrong!

Kpo58 · 20/12/2023 20:56

Get him a Dungeons & Dragons Dicelings! It's a large 20 sided dice that turns into a dragon!

Some new headphones for the gym (even if he has some you can't have too many!)

A nice water bottle?

Gym towel?

Technical sports socks?
