Has anyone else are there not decorated for Christmas or put up very little?

This year has been full of ups and downs, I became a homeowner in March, lived through floods in September, (I live in Greece.) and have been on a bit of a roller coaster here there and everywhere, some days are great, other days are… Not so much. Anyway, I’m just tired and didn’t really feel like doing much in terms of decorating. I had some stuffed Santas on the stuffed grinch and I have bought some nice tableware, one is like a board and you have a star and a Christmas tree shaped plate. I’ve put a nutcracker doll on top of the fireplace and surrounded it with candles.

I don’t have a tree, and don’t think I’ll be getting one. I don’t know if there’s anything else small that I could do.

Nothing here. I've fallen into a bit of a slump thanks for having a fairly awful end of term with DS1 where his mental health has been quite bad. It's enough getting through the day. I will start meal planning tonight though.

I've done nothing yet. Walked up to Homebase earlier to get a last minute tree to find all gone and area cleared for New Years stock.... Disaster!
Ran home and found if I ordered by 5pm I could get one same day delivered 😊 So am now waiting in on it.

When it's just me and DH, one prelit Xmas tree, with old favourites ornaments, one wreath on the door, holly, Ivy, mistletoe etc on the mantelpiece and a few fairy lights, maybe a few fairy lights at the windows in one room.
Xmas tablecloth and napkins, candles, that's about it.

I put presents around a broken stage prop campfire that was already in the living room awaiting mending, and put a glove puppet on top to make it look a bit festive, but that's all I have the energy for right now.

I've put my tree up in the living room and cards on the mantelpiece, just a very small wreath on the front door. I don't think I'll be bothering with anything else.

It's been a frustrating year with a few low points but a couple of big problems/projects have been completed. I'm getting over a second bout of illness so still a bit depleted but on the whole am grateful for what I have. My biggest challenge is trying to remain cheerful despite all ...
