Getting a an hour alone tomorrow to nip to M&S to get some nice thing for Christmas, what have you bought that you'll recommend
That includes nice booze, party food. I don't need turkey or ham or veg, just all the nice fattening stuff 😂 hit me up mumsnetters

I still dream about their Garlic Butter Twist With Whole Camembert.

15 minutes in the oven gives you gooey, rich and creamy melted deliciousness with its own garlic bread to tear off and dip.

Supposedly serves 6, but may have been demolished by just the two of us. Ahem. Xmas Blush

They have magical peaches in cognac.

I love all the deli bits.

Wander round and see what they have to try some different bits.

Truffle cheddar and truffle brie

Cherries in kirsch (with good vanilla Icecream)

Frozen chocolate twists (they are 10 times better than pain au chocolates)

In the party food section the wee trays of dirty fries and the pork belly squares are nice (and both GF, which is unusual in party food). The snowman bao buns were good too. My 3 year old was ridiculously pleased with them.

They have a lot of very nice continental
cheese. Get some epoisse. And some
sliced porchetta from the deli section. The wee mini pork pies in the deli section are great too.

I love their pitta bread chips and the salted giant corn as snacks.

Op, can you tell us what you buy today? I have a similar hour tomorrow and inspiration is always good.

I will suggest though, the florentines .

They have salted caramel with milk chocolate, dark chocolate and ginger, and one other type. I am the only one who likes them in this house, so I am deliberating over which to choose.

I’ve bought the stollen rum and it’s £5 off at the moment. I haven’t tried it but the reviews are good.
The chocolate orange mini bites are dangerously addictive and I loved the mini double chocolate panettone. We also enjoy the honey roast ham crisps.

Their crab and salmon mousses are lovely

Duck and truffle pate 😋

ShirtifiedFashionGrad · 20/12/2023 08:00

@PinkflowersWhiteBerries, dark chocolate and ginger florentines sound delicious. Thanks for the tip-off!

I still remember the grapes I bought from M and S a year ago. Large, perfect, with a beautiful taste. Better than sny others I have tasted before or since. Also at a good price

dontgobaconmyheart · 20/12/2023 08:06

Frangipane mince pies are gorgeous, lovely soft almond and a really nice citrus zing to them that works well and doesn't really taste like a mince pie at all (which i can take or leave but would eat a whole pack of these). The Genoa cake they're doing in the Christmas range is also very nice, very moreish.

ThreeRingCircus · 20/12/2023 08:53

The salt and pepper combo mix crisps are a must!

RachelGreensHair · 20/12/2023 11:20

I may have in the past stood in the kitchen and eaten M&S baba ganoush straight from the jar cos that's how good it is!!
