I wondered if anyone had this experience. I recently purchased online a large item from John Lewis, which turned out to be faulty. JL said no problem - just return it - and I booked a pick up with Evri (they have an arrangement with JL). I did this as the item is just slightly too big and heavy for me to carry and I don’t have a car (hence the online purchase).
what happened is that on four separate days I got emails from Evri saying that they had tried to collect but I wasn’t in! Which is incorrect as on each of those days I was at home all day and in fact had parcels delivered to me.
the really odd thing is that after I contacted JL again, they booked DHL to pick it up instead - but the same thing has happened - they claimed I was not at home.
has anyone had anything similar happen?
