Which perfume for a teenager?

DD is 17 and has asked for perfume for Christmas (amongst many other things). I rarely wear perfume and feel clueless about which brands/fragrances would be good for a teenager.

Budget for this is in the £40 region, given what else she has on her list.

Any suggestions?

Mine likes the Ariana Grande ones, the pink cloud is the new one, but they’re a bit sweet for me.

DD (16) has a Christmas temp job on the perfume counter at Boots. She has chosen this one for herself.

Ariana Grande's Ari is one my 18 year old likes. And the bottle is lovely.

Mine is having SJP Lovely - repeat purchase as she loved the last bottle.

My teens are having Clinique Happy and Clinique Happy Heart.

I got my daughter Chanel Gabrielle which she had some testers of and loved. I bought the Eilish one for her once but it was unremarkable.

Both my 19 and 14 year old love Ariana Grande Cloud, Zara Red Temptation (which is a dupe of Baccarat Rouge), Caroline Harrera Good Girl, Gucci Guilty.

Does she just want ‘perfume’ or is there particular likes in scents?

Is it to wear everyday or would she only wear it at weekends when I’m out with her friends etc

B&M do some body sprays of perfumes for about £7, like the blue Ariana, which is a cheaper way of getting the perfume.

Are you near a Zara? If you're on a budget their perfumes are amazing! Last really well and they have a large selection with some good dupes.
