Tiger Tiger train set-HELP

I was shopping with my DIL and we bought as a joke for my train mad adult son the little wooden train set that has a little engine that actually pulls the train round a little wooden circle track.

Here is where I need help-someone else must have bought one as they are sold out and no one in the shop knows the answer.

On the set that I bought each little car has a magnetic connector which is how they hook up. The engine's magnetic connector is not flush on the engine but sort of hanging a bit.

Just want to know if it is meant to be like this or should I just superglue it flush.

Thanks all-hoping the mumsnet collective will sort me out!

Post a photo so we can see what it looks like.

Ah good idea. Give em a min-on hold with Ocado...

A photo will help but usually the connecting parts are not flush and also a bit loose for manoeuvrability

That looks like it needs sticking back in to me. We had those wooden brio type trains for DS and none of the connectors were loose and dangly like that.

I agree-just was doubting myself-maybe some fancy new design.

I still have a box of brio in the cellar from the Thomas the Tank Engine era and I have never seen this.

Thanks for replying!
