Christmas cake....

I wasn't my going to bake one this year-I haven't since pre covid. But someone begged. So.

I've baked it for the time specified at the temperature specified. It smells and feels cooked. The internal temperature is bang on. A skewer comes out clean.

It's cooked, isn't it? Tell me it's cooked!

Why wouldn't it be cooked??

ThreeRingCircus · 19/12/2023 14:55

I think Christmas cake is pretty forgiving. I'm a relatively rubbish baker but make an excellent Christmas cake!

If you've followed the instructions, it's cooked. You've not got a lot of opportunity for feeding it though!

Sounds cooked 🤷🏽‍♀️

Absolutely no reason why it wouldn't be cooked but paranoia! And yes, sad about the feeding....😢

I made one for the first time ever this year! I'm so proud. I've even fed, marzipaned and today I iced it!

I'm a bit crap on decorating so I went minimalist. Two robins and a ribbon.

@Mxflamingnoravera I've made this one for DD's boyfriend's parents. They're not from this country and it's the first time they'll have had one, so I'm going trad as well. A ribbon, some trees and some reindeer.

I hope they love it! I'm sure it will be delicious! curlew
