I told ex i was thinking about getting the kids a TV for their room . I also told him im not sure as money is a bit short. He's gone and told the kids I'm getting them a tv . Wtf I told them they are not getting a TV I can't afford it. Ds is autistic and now he's really upset with me because I'm not getting him a TV. I don't know what he's playing at he's never done that before.

Thing is he don't the upset and disappointment. And feeling guilty I do whilst he's looking like dad of the centry.

I did say on my post he's never done that before. We normally tell each other to make sure we don't get the sake things

Why do your kids need a TV in their bedroom?
Playroom would be ok, not their bedroom.
They may watch unsuitable programmes after they have gone to bed.

Loads of kids have a TV in their room. That does not mean they will watch unsuitable things. And they won't be allowed it on a school night

Well, he's an ex for a reason!
Keep an eye out on freecycle/Facebook etc. You often see people giving away older TVs. I gave my neighbours son a old spare that I had which was in perfect working condition.

To be frank, you are assuming OPs kids are toddlers or that they have a playroom.

OP, if having a TV in their room works for them (mine had for the Xbox but we never got around connecting it to anything but the Xbox) search in Facebook market place. You can get them some times even for free.

As PP says, he's an ex for a reason. basically he's a small-minded, malicious arse. My ex did exactly that, which is why I never tell him anything now.

On the up-side your dcs don't need a TV in their bedroom. Bedrooms are for sleeping, and the temptation would have been very great. Eventually when they have laptops, they'll be able to watch tv over the internet.
