Help from home bakers - ideal gift?

I recently ordered a cake from someone in the village that makes them for friends and family. She was a bit fuzzy about how much it would cost but I knew would be less than a shop would charge and I was happy to support someone local.

When I collected the cake it exceeded all my expectations. It was beautiful. However, when I try to give her money she refused saying it was a gift. I was really moved by this, it was so precious to me.

I don't know how well enough to know if she drinks or whether I should buy alcohol, else I would have bought her some fizz but I would now like to thank her in some way. I have bought some cake tins that I thought I would fill with some baking items perhaps.

Are there any home bakers out there that can give me some hints or tips on what items would be of definite use, especially those that are good for decorating cakes.

Any hints or tips would be welcome to make this a special gift!

Some really nice quality extracts could be nice. I like these . I use a lot of vanilla, lemon, orange and coffee by nielman Massey . You can get them from Lakeland.

@glassyhag

Thanks so much! That's perfect, I have added the extracts to my basket :)

If she bakes that often, a gift card for her local sugarcraft shop would be great.
