I've been poorly for 2 weeks now. Started off with a constant headache for over a week and a sore throat. Then turned into a cough, lack of taste and smell and then just generally feeling rubbish and conjunctivitis. I still feel rubbish 2 weeks later and but a sore throat particularly when swallowing is driving me crazy. My children have had a week off school with similar symptoms but they have had a temperature every night at bedtime for 2 weeks now but generally OK in the day.
I took my daughters to the doctors last week who said it's normal to have this temp at night for up to a month (which I've never heard of before) and reassured me they were fine. We also did a urine sample as one of them gets uti' s sometimes.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar virus this winter??? It's really getting me down now with the sore throat and feeling rubbish for so long. I'd call the doctors for an appointment but honestly think I've got more chance of winning the lottery - I called last week for my daughters the moment the phone lines went live and even then all 60 appointments had gone by the time they got to me, I couldn't have been on the phone any sooner. The girls had to see the doctor between other appointments so an appointment for me is out of the question unless I call 111.
