Dd is 11 & after another huge growth spurt is 5 ft 4. It is impossible to get jeans or leggings to fit her. Her waist & legs are so skinny. Help! How can I dress her?

H&M do jeans up to age 14 which are still ok for my 5’5 12 year old as they have adjustable waists. She can wear a 4 or a 6 as well. XS in Primark.

Hollister, H&M (esp. the Divided range) Zara, Nike, etc. all do smaller sizes. This was Top Shop’s forte - it’s a shame it’s gone (though not why). It has definitely created a gap in the market though, than no other retailer has quite managed to fill.

5ft 4in is not long length, it’s barely out of the petite size range and shorter than regular lengths. Unsure as to why people have mentioned long length trousers/jeans.

I think its finding childrens' sizes in extra long length. So the waist and hips are still fitted for girls but need the length for the height.

Agree with h&m. I often use Vertbaudet as well, it's a French site and they do lots of trousers with different waist and hip fits and everything tends to be cut quite small.

It is hard to find childrens clothes for tall and skinny girls. Brandy Melville is a good choice if you avoid the cropped tops!

Pretty little things and Ego do stuff in the sizes you need. Most things are very grown up but you can get basics.
