I hate mornings

I hate mornings so much especially Mondays. In a moment I will have grumpy teen, 7&8 year old arguing over the phone which I take away every morning. I feel tired and drained. Want to go back to bed

Millions of mums feel exactly the same! You are not alone!

I hear you. Only the one here but a teenager. She seems to be taking longer to get ready each day doing her make up.
I'm not a fan of getting up quite so early especially when it's dark. Currently chugging a large mug of coffee.

Same. I've got to get up to walk the dog. I haven't been to the gym in 2 months because I hate getting up at 6am in the dark and cold and mornings is the only time I have free but I just can't make myself get up.

I start work at 8:45 and just stay in bed as long as possible.

Yes . I woke mine at 6.30. Meant to be down stairs for 7am. But it was to quite. I went up and she was asleep again ffs . Now I will have a bigger attitude like it was me who made her fall sleep

Same, I have a 12, 7 and 5 year old. Have been calling the 12 year old to get up for the last 30 minutes and he’s still lying in bed. I can predict what is going to happen every sodding morning., it’s miserable! I just want to get up and go to work with no issues before getting there! I feel your pain.

It messes us up a bit where dd went back to sleep. So we ended up grabbing a croissant from the shop for breakfast. Dd got her usual train. And me and the younger kids got an early bus now I'm to early 🤣

Are you in the uk? We've broken up for the Christmas holidays where I am so at least I have a break from that nonsense for a couple of weeks!

MissyB1 · 18/12/2023 07:43

Thank fuck we are on school holidays now! School mornings are the absolute pits! I often feel nauseous in the morning too (not pregnant I’m in my 50s), and I’m in no state to do battle with my 14 year old who would win awards for grump of the year.

Juststuff23 · 18/12/2023 07:53

Mine break up on Wednesday.half day . Hate half days to

I much prefer school holidays tbh,it's agony to get my kids up at 6.50(aged 7 and 11) for school even after a solid 10 hours sleep.

I also feel nauseous in the mornings, always have done! Not sure why that is.

KnowThyself · 18/12/2023 07:58

I am also not a morning person, fortunately I married a not a morning person and our DS is also not a morning person. We are very sociable and chatty just not on waking.

I like the school holidays as in there's no pressure over timing and getting stuff done. I get up around 8am and sit on my own for a bit. But then I do have the teenage crap to deal with
