When your boss and line manager are friends

boss is blind to line managers ways (don’t want to put myself but integrity isn’t there)
think health care type of job

I am temporary and being told to keep quiet. Tomorrow I am speaking out. I know I am at risk of not being kept on. I am going to keep it factual about what I need (not mentioning what is actually is going on)

so upset and hurt as this was meant to be a dream Job

Honestly? Start looking for a new job as it will never get any better.

I've worked in this sort of scenario, I'm currently working in it. My line manager is my manager in name only and all of the micromanaging of me (and her) comes from above because she's content to sit back and let her friend run everything. It's unbelievably shit because there's no one to advocate for us to senior management especially when edicts from that senior management are unfair or unrealistic.

I'm currently applying for every suitable job so I can get away as it's not worth the mental stress.

Oh god that’s just awful
this is a very professional environment so I didn’t expect to come across this at all

very unfair, blind eye it turned a LOT and I get the brunt of it
