Best vegan chocolate?

Thattimeofthemonth · 17/12/2023 19:18

I’m very new to the vegan world and I am exhausted at just trying to find things that are vegan.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? It’s a Christmas gift.

NoTouch · 17/12/2023 19:28

Not an expert but ds tried dairy free for a month (acne problems) and Lindt vegan chocolate was surprisingly nice. Galaxy was 🤮

timtam23 · 17/12/2023 19:31

Booja booja truffles are lovely
My vegan friend loves Aldi's vegan blonde chocolate bars

notprincehamlet · 17/12/2023 19:37

Booja Booja
This! Lovely even if you're not vegan. Or maybe Vegolino pralines. Or just good dark chocolate. (I'm not a big fan of non-milk 'milk' chocolate, tastes like cheap chocolate while being anything but.)

kikisparks · 17/12/2023 19:41

Nomo and vegan Lindt is good. Vego bars, jeavons (online only and hipp are all extra special.

RichTea63 · 17/12/2023 19:50

The co-op's Gro one is lush!

Booja Booja.

Hands down.

Our friend told us she got some 'weird vegan chocolate truffles' as an Xmas gift. She took one bite, she said, and then they went in the bin! Were they Booja Booja, we asked. Yes, she said. Oh God! we exclaimed. Do you know how much they cost? We love them! She is a Quality Street or Minstrels type of person.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 17/12/2023 19:56

Another vote for Booja booja here. Mmmmm😋

Go ahead! I wasn't saying anything at all against them Our friend who rejected them didn't know how good they are! BOOJA BOOJA ARE GREAT. I thought I'd made that clear? They probably taste 'weird' to the Minstrels and Galaxy brigade.

TerroristToddler · 17/12/2023 20:06

Hotel chocolat is nice

HiP is an oat milk based chocolate which I've found has the same feel/texture and can melt well. It tastes great and the flavour options are good.

Nomo salted caramel bar is quite good but isn't a milk chocolate alternative.

Ones to avoid - galaxy vegan! Ew!

VeganNugsNotDrugs · 17/12/2023 20:07

Oh and rhythm 108, you can usually get truffle things in a little bag at this time of year

No you did make that clear! I’m not a vegan so I’m probably part of the minstrel and galaxy brigade. She is probably used to vegan chocolate though so I’m sure she will like it.

I would have thought that was pretty clear?

My favourite is Topic, gorgeous thick milk chocolate with whole hazelnuts. It's often reduced to less than a £1 in B&M or Home Bargains, cheapest I got it was 49p once.
