Can I use shoe polish on leather handbag?!

DD has a lovely expensive leather bag which was scuffed on the bottom (by DD2 dragging it along the ground - DD1 is livid!)

I was thinking of gently rubbing a little shoe polish or leather creme into the leather with a soft cloth to restore the colour, that’ll work won’t it? Or is there some magic handbag leather colour restoring product that I don’t know of?

Yes it will work. Let it dry before putting it next to clothes.

How old are your dd's?

Dd2 should be recompensing dd1 for damaging her property.

Specialist handbag leather restorer can be found on the internet. For my brown leather handbags I use the natural uncoloured polish.

Careful: I did and it came off on my clothes.

DDS are in their 20s.

Had DD1 not palmed off most of her uni luggage on DD2 to bring out to the car, or warned her to be mindful of said bag, then it wouldn’t have happened.

I've ordered some leather colour restorer from Amazon, it needs repairing and not replacing. The leather itself isn’t badly damaged, just slightly scuffed and it is still perfectly usable.
