Londoners- meeting at Leicester Square tube

Sorry for such a boring question. I need to meet DD at Leicester Square tube- we'll both be coming on the Northern Line but from different places.

If I tell her just to follow the exit signs and then stop when she gets to the ticket hall, will we find each other?

You should do.... although it's absolutely heaving at the weekends so be prepared for that. Probably heaving week days right now too.

Tell her not to leave the station as it has multiple entrances and exits.

You are probably best saying "meet at the bottom of the stairs to exit x", as it has 4 exits and will be very busy. Pick your exit depending on where you are going -

Exit 1 - Charing Cross Road, National Galleries)
Exit 2 - Leicester Square, Chinatown)

Exit (Exit 3 - Cambridge Circus

Exit 4 - Cranbourn Street

I would meet at a particular exit, Charing Cross Road exit is the busiest

How old is she? It would be much better to meet somewhere specific outside the station

I agree it’s better to meet somewhere outside the station. There’s a big Pret one minute away that would make a good meeting point

Don't would be my advice. Leicester Sq tube is awful at the best of time, at this time of year it will be horrific.

I second the advice to arrange to leave the station and meet somewhere recognisable outside.

As others have said don't meet inside the station - it's so busy. Leave the station and maybe meet in Leicester Sq - outside the Vue cinema (just on the right hand side) is a good point to meet.

I suggest you meet on the mainline platforms at Charing Cross station and walk to Leicester Square from there.
