What were your first pregnancy symptoms?

My period is due today. I had a possible faint positive yesterday but couldn’t test today. The past few days tea has been tasting really weird, I can’t explain what it tastes like but it’s so strange. I was having waves of nausea for a few days, and yesterday I was having mild cramps. What were yours?

A metallic taste in my mouth. Like I'd chewed cheap bubblegum. I couldn't get the taste out no matter how hard I tried.

From how early on did that start?

I was about to say I didn't get anything at all with any of my pregnancies (5), and I did not get that many early ones full stop, maybe tiredness. But actually I remember getting a really weird faint bleed, probably before I knew I was pregnant from testing. Very small amount of pink-ish blood, probably assumed I was coming on at the time. Didn't give it any thought the first time, but definitely on one of the later pregnancies I thought "aha, hmm, I think I know what this could be" Hoping for good news for you xx

With my first I felt "off" I just couldn't explain it. Was so so strange. I also remember wiping a few days before my period and seeing discharge with a tinge of pink and thought oh that's weird🤣

With our second, I had no bloody idea. Even though we were TTC it came as a shock that it happened the first month of trying again. I was only 7 months PP. So I nearly fell to the floor thinking it would take so much longer!

On both occasions, once I got my positives I just felt sick to my stomach, exhausted, dry heaves every time I used a bathroom, opened the fridge or took the bin out. Bloody awful 🤣 I lived on toast and ice lolly's for 12 weeks!

Thank you x I forgot to mention, I’ve been so tired, I fell asleep at my friends house for an hour a couple of days ago, I just was so tired I couldn’t keep my eyes open, even though I had slept for well over 8 hours the night before! And everyday since then I’ve been getting really tired halfway through the day, I’ve been managing to fight through it for now but I’ve never been like this!

Also forgot to mention my sense of smell is so much stronger! If I’m not then maybe my boyfriend etc has got a cold as a couple of times recently I’ve said something smells really bad or weird and he wonders wtf I’m on about

I didn't have many of those symptoms until after 7-8 weeks tbh. It was mostly nausea and nerves and tiredness once I got the 3+ on a clear blue.

I've been pregnant 3 times, earliest symptom has always been sore or sensitive nipples from when my period was due. Never got any other symptoms like nausea or cramps until 6 weeks.

Positive pregnancy test at 5 weeks ish (I think nearly 6) and then nothing until 13 weeks! Then the vomiting started...

One day I was exhausted I went to work as a teacher at a new school day - fairly easy day but went home and fell asleep straight away… it was so odd as it wasn’t a draining day.

A week later took a pregnancy test - hello … say what?!?! Instant two lines

I was lucky to have an easy first trimester… it was my last trimester

All of the abov9e immediately. Heightened sense of smell especially in the street where l could smell the exhaust fumes. Couldn't drink tea..lasted the whole pregnancy. Exhaustion like l was in a coma. Felt faint. Couldn't believe how much symptoms l had. I seemed to be extremely sensitive to pregnancy hormones. I had to tell people practically straight away as too many things to hide. On every pregnancy.

I felt exactly like on my pms, so I was certain my period is due. Week after nausea started.

I could feel implantation or something 3 days post sex. A few days later, lying on my back, I could press and roll my fingers over my uterus which was by then really firm.

Like a PP, (but not tea), coffee tasted weird and with both of my pregnancies I couldn't drink coffee ( and I'm a teacher so usually mainline it).

Sore and tender breast.

The very second one was feeling suddenly nauseous on empty stomach.( never had a problem with that before).

I always got a big blue vein on my right boob which is my slightly bigger one and my nipples became extremely tender and sore if anything accidentally brushed against them. I also became really hungry for greasy, salty food.

I had two early symptoms, one was the complete lack of PMS symptoms. I just really felt nothing. Absolutely no indication of my period. Whereas usually I'd have cramps/sore boobs and general feeling shit. And my other symptoms was nausea the day before my positive test/missed period.

My other pregnancy symptoms came later on well after positive test such as strong sense of smell, metallic taste in mouth, insanely sore boobs, cramps etc. But before a missed period just nausea and lack of period symptoms. I did have one day of like extreme emotional mid cycle before my missed period which was unusual and came from no where.

I’ll have to read all the replies properly later on but just quickly - still no period. I’m going to a concert today so I can’t test today but will as soon as possible
