What the actual fuck. A book of 4 first class stamps is £5. I usually send out 40 cards thats £50 plus add the cards on top of that. That's £70 to send bits of cardboard out to people that will be in the bin in 2 weeks.
I cant afford to waste money like that. Nobody will get a card from me this year I'm afraid.
Absolutely ridiculous. I'll write news emails to everyone instead. Id much rather get a nice email from my friends anyway with their news.

Yes, it's a lose lose situation really - post going out of fashion, less demand leads to higher prices which leads to even less demand!

I don't send Christmas cards either. I wouldn't ever have sent as many as you but the cost is not justified when, as you say, the cards are in a bin a week later.
